The tie rod end of the truck is important because:

2. The tie rod end has too much clearance and is easy to break when it is subjected to impact load. Repair as soon as possible to avoid danger;
3. The outer tie rod end refers to the hand tie rod end, and the inner ball head refers to the steering gear rod ball head. The outer ball head and the inner ball head are not connected together, but work together. The steering gear ball head is connected to the sheep-horn, and the hand lever ball head is connected to the parallel rod;
4. Looseness of the ball head of the steering tie rod will cause the steering to deviate, eat the tire, shake the steering wheel. In serious cases, the ball head may fall off and cause the wheel to fall off instantly. It is recommended to replace it in time to avoid potential safety hazards.
Inspection procedure of tie rod end
1. Inspection steps
The tie rod end clearance of the tie rod of the vehicle steering system can reduce the steering response ability and make the steering wheel vibrate. The ball joint clearance can be checked according to the following steps.
(1) Point the wheels straight ahead.
(2) Raise the vehicle.
(3) Hold the wheel with both hands and try to shake the wheel left and right. If there is movement, it indicates that the ball head has clearance.
(4) Observe whether the rubber dust boot at the end of the tie rod is cracked or damaged, and whether the lubricating grease is leaking.
2. Precautions
(1) If the tie rod end becomes dirty, wipe it with a rag to accurately check the condition of the dust boot, and check all around the dust boot.
(2) The leaked grease will become black due to dirt. Wipe the dust boot and check whether the dirt on the rag is grease. In addition, check whether there are metal particles in the dirt.
(3) Check the two steering wheels in the same way.
